It's the travel through the imagination, of a cartoonist, we enter to the world of his drawings, this it's a surreal trip everyone will enjoy. It's the first work of panamenian producer Joaquín Carrasquilla and Fusion Group in 1986. Made in clay animation technique and cell animation as well. |
About JoaquinJoaquÃn Carrasquilla studied in the School Javier, removing its degree in Sciences, Letters and Philosophy and in the University of Panama obtaining the degree in graphic design. Since 1982 its cartoons appeared in the Newspaper La Prensa; interspersed with the ones that appeared in different moments in the weekly Quiubo, the Financial Gazette and the Daily Extra. Since 1994 Joaquin labors like cartoonist in the Panama America. He is also an independent producer of innovative advertising campaigns, besides he has worked for post-producing and as Creative and graphic designer for advertising agencies. Has won among others prizes the Video Maxell contest and to international level the Caribbean contest'92. In April of 1997, carries out an exhibition of sculptures in Costa Rica (week of the conservation of the nature), with the assistance of actors of HOLLYWOOD. In June, 1997 he exposes in "Planet Hollywood" -Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, USA. Famous of HOLLYWOOD as; Mr. JOHNSON, WOOPHI GOLDBERG, JAY LENO, NICHOLAS CAGE, among others acquired their "sculptures". In the year 2000 the first Cinema company in Panama. Then in the 2003 he finalizes the first feature film done in Panama with international projection, "THE NIGHT". Later in 2003, 2004 he presented the movie "THE NIGHT", in the International festival of movies "SITGES", Barcelona, and in the International Festival of movies of Bogota,Colombia. Carrasquilla is actually working in the hyphen of its next project, still without a name, that is an animated movie for families, that he is co-producing with a HOLLYWOOD producer. He is also working in the hyphen of a movie called TOUCH AND DIE","TOCA Y MUERE", that would be sell to a Hollywood production company or will be co-produce by his company, SMILING PEOPLE FILMS, and a HOLLYWOOD production company. Some other projects are beginning to be co-produced by SMILING PEOPLE FILMS and HOLLYWOOD production companies. JoaquÃn Carrasquilla simply draws a different dawn each and every day. JoaquÃn Carrasquilla estudió en el Colegio Javier, sacando su bachillerato en Ciencias, Letras y FilosofÃa y en la Universidad de Panamá, la licenciatura en diseño grafico. Desde 1982 sus caricaturas aparecen en el Diario La Prensa; intercaladas con las que aparecieron en distintos momentos en el semanario Quiubo, la Gaceta Financiera y el Diario Extra. Luego en el 2003 Finaliza la primera pelÃcula de Largometrage hecha en Panamá con proyección internacional, “LA NOCHEâ€. Más tarde en 2003, 2004 presenta la pelÃcula “LA NOCHEâ€, en el festival Internacional de cine “SITGESâ€, Barcelona, y en el Festival Internacional de cine de Bogotá. Actualmente está trabajando en el guión de su próxima pelÃcula todavÃa sin nombre, una pelÃcula animada para toda la familia y está siendo actualmente co-producida por su productora de cine y un productor de HOLLYWOOD. También está trabajando en el guión de “TOUCH AND DIEâ€,â€TOCA Y MUEREâ€, que se venderá a una compañia productora de HOLLYWOOD o será co-producida por su compañia SMILING PEOPLE FILMS y alguna compañia productora de HOLLYWOOD, además tiene otros proyectos cinematográficos que serán co-producidos con HOLLYWOOD.
